Because having a jam-packed weekend feels precisely 6 hours and 19 minutes longer than one spent on the sofa. That’s because we measure time by packing in memories – so the more we do, the longer the weekend seems.

Neuroscientist Dr. Jack Lewis says, when we think back on our weekend, if a lot of memories come to mind, it feels more fulfilling. But if someone asks you – ‘How was your weekend?’ and you draw a blank, it’ll feel like it was shorter and less fulfilling.
