Eat a handful of walnuts a day! According to a study in the Journal Of Cosmetic Dermatology, the omega-3 fatty acids in walnuts helped reverse hair loss in 90% of the women studied… and 87% of them reported growing thicker hair. The omega-3s in walnuts provide hair cells with the building blocks they need to function at their best. And walnuts have more omega-3s than any other nut. So eat a handful a day for thicker, healthier hair.

Almonds contain the B vitamin, biotin. And just a handful of almonds a day strengthens hair and prevents breakage.

Next: Cashews have an amino acid that triggers production of the protein keratin – which forms the inner layer of hair. And the thicker the layer of keratin, the healthier your hair will be.

And walnuts are a good source of copper, which improves hair’s elasticity.

A recent study from Harvard found people who ate nuts daily were up to 20% less likely to die of cancer, heart disease and respiratory disorders. Researchers say it’s down to the fiber, Omega-3 fatty acids, and plant sterols in nuts. So,unless you’re allergic, eat a handful of unsalted walnuts, almonds, or peanuts every day.

Walnuts! That’s according to Dr. Lenore Arab, a disease prevention expert at UCLA. Walnuts also have a good dose of healthy fatty acids – that improve your metabolism and help you feel full. But on top of all that, a big reason why walnuts make a good WORK snack is because of how they affect the brain. According to Dr. Arab’s research, people who eat walnuts outperform non-walnut-eaters in terms of memory, concentration, and “information processing speed.” All you need are 6 or 7 walnuts a day to get a mental edge over your coworkers and improve your overall health.
