Here’s what you’re feeling: Cardiologist Dr. Mehmet Oz says when we’re nervous, our body produces adrenaline, triggering a fight-or-flight reaction, where blood rushes to our extremities in case we need to outrun a mugger. So, butterflies are the blood rushing OUT of your digestive tract. You may also need a bathroom because the hormone cortisol triggers the colon to contract, which can trigger instant diarrhea. So before a stressful situation, make sure you know where the nearest bathroom is!

Here are the healthiest choices, according to Dr. Mehmet Oz:

If you love chocolate, grab a Hershey’s mini, for the fewest calories of any Halloween chocolate. Dark chocolate is best. But one study found people who ate a little bit of ANY chocolate every day were less likely to develop heart disease.

If you prefer chewy Halloween candy, try Twizzlers. They’re only 30 calories apiece. And since they take a while to eat, you’ll be less likely to down a whole handful.

Finally, if you love super-sugary Halloween treats, try candy corn. 21 pieces contain only 150 calories and zero fat.

Have the same thing for breakfast every day. Like blueberries in Greek yogurt. That’s what Dr. Oz has. It’ll be a no-brainer, so you don’t have to think about what to make – all you do is dump the berries on top of the yogurt and grab a spoon. Plus, you’ll be getting a ton of nutrients and protein, to keep you feeling full. Another plus? Women who eat the same thing for breakfast every day consume 100 fewer calories per day than women who change it up all the time.
