People who communicate face-to-face or over the phone seem more intelligent than those who communicate through email. That’s according to the University of Chicago. The researchers found that the vocal cues – like tone of voice and enthusiasm – made people sound more thoughtful, engaged and smarter than when they gave the same message in an email. And speaking to someone is also more persuasive – and makes people value your opinion more. If you have something to say, use your voice!
