One of the best prescriptions for anger is exercise. A study from the University of Georgia found that taking a brisk walk, hopping on a bike, or going for a run can squash anger. In the study, volunteers who cycled for 30 minutes and were then purposely irritated by the researchers showed virtually no rise in anger. Exercise works like a drug to protect you against angry moods – almost like taking an aspirin can help prevent a heart attack.
