Chiropractor Dr. Jan Lefkovitz says, quote, “It’s the worst thing!” Because if you’re sleeping on your stomach, you’re probably turning your head to one side. And having your neck awkwardly rotated for hours can cause severe back and neck pain, and cause misalignment. Dr. Lefkowitz says if you’re a stomach sleeper, one of the easiest ways to break that habit is to sleep with a full-length body pillow to block yourself from rolling onto your stomach.
