If you want to lose weight – don’t think about what you can’t eat. Instead, focus on the positive. So it’s not “I can’t eat fries…” It’s “I CAN eat more fruit.” That comes from nutritionist Joy Bauer. And it makes your eating plan about positive action rather than deprivation. And professor Art Markman agrees. He teaches psychology and marketing at the University of Texas. He says, when you add something – like more vegetables – instead of taking something away – you’re more likely to repeat the action until it becomes an automatic habit.
